"The ordinary child wakes up from a warm bed, starts the day with a good nourishing breakfast and enjoys the presence of loving parents. But in the streets of many urban centres, it is a different story. On average the streets of Kenya are hosting over 250,000 children.The project of Ukweli Home of Hope is very much a family, where the boys learn to live a normal life under adult supervision. To-date they have two main programmes: a drop-in centre which currently caters for at least 100 boys on a day to day basis and a home providing shelter to 20 boys.

Evictions of any kind instills anxiety and fear in the hearts of not only the affected but also concerned. A number of schools, homes, churches, and business premises were demolished earlier 2004 in Nairobi, Kenya, mainly in slum areas following a earlier government noticeto do so before the suspension of the exercise due local and international protest reactions.In this video, the church, along with the local and international community urge the Kenyan government to listen to the cries of the poor and consider their plight while undertaking to improve infrastructure and upgrade slums.

She founded “Help Orphan Project.” This video depicts the tribulations and suffering children go through having lost both of their parents to HIV/AIDS. “Help Orphan Project” is a noble attempt to bring new life and hope to these orphans and their aged grandmothers. This is a vocational tape featuring three Maryknoll Brothers working in Mombasa. Br. John Mullen runs an AIDS relief project. Together with a team of volunteer health workers, he goes door to door reaching out to the sick. Helping the youth "Make Responsible choices" is the concern of Br. Frank TenHoopen in the Mombasa based youth project. Br. Loren Beaudry runs a rescue centre for street children found on the streets of Mombasa. The video highlights the successful efforts of providing water "where there is no water". Previously, people had to walk miles in search of this rare commodity. Through the intervention and technical assistance of an NGO called SASOL (Sahelian Solutions) the construction of Sand Dams started in 1990. Today they have completed 156 Sand Dams.
